PASSION Intelligent navigation bridge on board ships

PASSION intends to offers ships an intelligent navigation bridge based on an integrated architecture for processing all on-board information.

The object of this integrated bridge is to reduce the risks associated with maritime navigation and its impact on the environment, resulting in an estimated reduction of 10% to 15% in navigational-related accidents and 2% to 5% of the carbon footprint.

The wholly integrated approach enables implementing of high-end processing algorithms and synthesising of information transmitted by advanced sensors (FMCW radar, etc.). It also assists with decision-making (sensor fusion, multi-criteria routing, e-positioning, alarm management, etc.).

PASSION is thus proposing to design a benchmark platform for the entire French navigation industry.

The PASSION project is also recognised by the Pôle Mer Méditerranée cluster.
