OPAD An innovative pleasure craft rally to raise crew awareness of biodiversity

The OPAD project is aimed at offering pleasure craft an opportunity to explore an unusual itinerary over the space of a spring weekend. Departing from 2 ports in Brittany, the route will combine discovering environmentally friendly navigation, participatory science, the region and innovation.

While at sea, the crews will be invited to carry out observations of birdlife, fauna and flora and to take sea samples. They must respect the rules of environmentally friendly navigation (engine use, waste, cleaning, etc.) and self-evaluation of the boat’s environmental and energy footprint.

Scientists will analyse the data collected.

In addition, a partner will also be involved in highlighting new technologies during each rally.
