EMOCEAN Simulating ocean dynamics in high resolution from multimodal, multiscale databases
Over the past decade, over 30 new satellite missions have been launched for ocean observation. Computing power and our understanding of relevant physical processes have also grown significantly.
The EMOCEAN project aims to observe and understand ocean surface phenomena by processing the growing masses of heterogeneous, multimodal and multiscale data from ocean observation and simulation.
The project also aims to optimise the storage architecture and simulation structures in order to achieve real-time performance.
