WATCHDOG An autonomous, intelligent robot for assisted subsea diving

Labelisation : 06/17/2016 - 00:00
Budget global : 2.09 K€

The Watchdog project is aimed at developing an autonomous intelligent robot in conjunction with a connected subsea diving suit.

The device will be presented as a genuine diver’s ‘watchdog’, improving both safety and productivity.

Primarily aimed at civilian divers working in a professional context, the robot will also be capable of incorporating specific skills for work or leisure through professional functions or additional equipment. Its capacity to learn via its artificial intelligence module will ultimately enable the device to perform complex tasks learned in situ or in advance with the diver in a safe environment.

The project will involve testing at a pilot aquaculture site with a view to realising continuous robot-assisted organic production.
