ObjectiVEs
BlueBioTechpreneurs addresses EMFAF-2023-Blue Careers’ goal to:
Boost collaboration between academia and the private sector,
Encourage students, young graduates, and professionals to embrace blue careers,
- Support companies in accessing cross-sectoral talent, fostering innovation and closing the skills gap in the blue biotech sector.
Specifically, BlueBioTechpreneurs will create a learning and leadership programme around the blue biotech sector, uncovering its wide range of applications in different subsectors of the blue bioeconomy. By promoting interest in the blue biotech sector, BlueBioTechpreneurs will match stakeholders already in the industry with those looking for information and inspiration about careers in the blue bioeconomy and students who need transversal knowledge and skills to understand how to exploit the increasing opportunities in this sector. Women empowerment will be fostered through ad-hoc activities, including webinars with women entrepreneurs who will serve as role models for girls and young women to be inspired to pursue similar careers.
CLUSTER'S ROLE
The cluster is overseeing the implementation of a webinar program (WP3) and will take part in others project’s activities such as Hackathons and MOOC.
