Outils

The DERIVA project aims to develop an innovative wing sail for cargo ships based on a patented asymmetric thick profile system.

The wing sail designed by CWS is aerodynamically optimised, folding, automated and can be retrofitted to existing vessels. It allows vessels to reduce their fuel consumption and associated pollution significantly by assisting the ship’s engines.

The DERIVA project will ensure detailed specifications can be presented for this new technology, as well as cost estimates for each component, performance and test reports, and a preliminary certification report.
