The project is aimed at digitizing communications in the maritime field, particularly relating to safety and surveillance, measurements at sea and navigation systems that require significant data-transfer capacity.

The PRACTI-SEAS project will therefore develop a software radio platform devoted to digital communications in the maritime domain.

Two prototypes – one specifically for maritime safety and assisted navigation and the other for instrumented buoy-to-shore data transfer – will be brought into operation and deployed for testing and validating purposes.

The PRACTI-SEAS project is also recognised by the Images&Réseaux cluster.
